No library conference is complete without library visits! The library visits will take place on Monday June 29th at 2pm. Choose between the following libraries
- Kungl. biblioteket, National Library of Sweden. The National Library, situated in a lovely park in central Stockholm, has been collecting virtually everything printed in Sweden or in Swedish since 1661. (Limited to 40 participants)
- Karolinska Institutet University Library, the largest medical library in the Nordic countries. The visit will take you to the northern of the two library branches, in Solna just north of the city centre. (Limited to 30 participants)
- Subway Library at tube stop Östermalmstorg (will open in May). (Limited to 30 participants)
Welcome Reception at the City Hall
The City of Stockholm and Stockholm County Council is pleased to invite the conference participants to a Welcome Reception at the City Hall, famous for it's architecture, and for hosting the Nobel Banquet in December every year. The reception will take place June 30th, 6pm - 8pm, and will include a light buffet and a guided tour of the City Hall.
The conference dinner will be held at the restaurant Solliden, situated at Skansen, the world's oldest open air museum, on the island of Djurgården, a royal park near the centre of Stockholm. It will take place on July 1st.
Before dinner you will have the opportunity to experience Skansen on your own, or sign up for a short guided tour.
